The team at BIOPOLITICAL PHILOSOPHY extends its enthusiastic congratulations to our fellow blogger Mich Ciurria! The American Philosophical Association (APA) has awarded Mich the 2024 Routledge, Taylor & Francis Prize for their article, “Responsibility’s Double-Binds: The Reactive Attitudes in Conditions of Oppression,” which appeared in The Journal of Applied Philosophy in July 2022.
This APA prize is awarded for articles published by philosophers who are not in permanent positions, not graduate students, and not emeritus. The cash value of the prize is US$1000.00. Mich hopes to accept the award during the upcoming Central Division meeting on Zoom.
Mich’s work on responsibility is groundbreaking, including the current special issue of Feminist Philosophy Quarterly on feminist approaches to responsibility that they guest-edited. This outstanding issue of FPQ is here.
