Call for Abstracts

Identity and Ideology: An Open Dialogue between Mexican and Japanese Philosophy

Online Conference | March 4–6, 2026

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Guanajuato and the International Assoc. for Japanese Philosophy invite the submission of abstracts addressing topics from or toward Mexican and/or Japanese Philosophy, including but not limited to:

• Ontology

• Phenomenology

• Epistemology and Logic

• Political Philosophy and Marxism

• German Idealism and Its Influence on Mexican and/or Japanese Thinkers

• Aesthetics

• Philosophy of Identity (Mexican and/or Japanese)

• Philosophy and Literature

Submissions and inquiries about the conference should be sent to the following email address: x.aranda@ugto.mx and must include:

a. Full name, academic degree, and institutional affiliation.

b. Title of the proposal and an abstract of no more than 200 words.

c. A brief curriculum vitae (maximum ten lines).

Each presentation will be allotted to 20 minutes. Presentations will be admitted in English or Spanish. The deadline for submissions is January 16, 2026. Final notification of acceptance will be sent no later than February 9, 2026. There will be no participation fees.
