Philosophy and Borders, Refugee Studies Centre, Wed. Nov. 6, 1pm – 7pm
The Philosophy and Borders working group aims to bring together researchers in the fields of ethics, political theory, and social science on the topic of borders and migration. This includes researchers working on topics related to nation-states, nationalism, citizenship, territory, immigration, and forced migration. This first meeting will serve as an introduction to the project.
We would like to invite presentations for our inaugural meeting, which will take place on Wednesday November 6th 2019. We particularly encourage applications from early career researchers and graduate students. Presentations will be 25 minutes long, with 20 minutes for questions and feedback.
If you would like to speak, please send an abstract of no longer than 500 words to rebecca.buxton@sjc.ox.ac.uk. If you would like to attend the workshop as an observer, please email to register your interest. The event will include a keynote speaker in the evening as part of the Refugee Studies Centre series.
