As readers and listeners of BIOPOLITICAL PHILOSOPHY may recall, I organized the first five editions of Philosophy, Disability, and Social Change conferences (links to the videos of which are available here) with the support of Jonathan Wolff under the auspices of the Alfred Landecker Chair in the School of Government at the University of Oxford.
Given that Jonathan has retired, the Philosophy, Disability, and Social Change conference series will undergo some adjustments, including the move to a new institutional home.
Although I cannot yet offer too many more details about the new and exciting institutional support that will enable continuation of the Philosophy, Disability, and Social Change series, I can tell you that Philosophy. Disability, and Social Change 6 (#PhiDisSochCh6) is expected to be as fantastic as previous editions of the conference series and, in some ways, improve upon them.
As with previous editions of the Philosophy, Disability, and Social Change conference series, the events of #PhilDisSocCh6 will take place entirely online to ensure accessibility for a range of marginalized disabled philosophers in various geopolitical locales and to limit the environmental impact of the conference.
Tentative dates for Philosophy, Disability, and Social Change 6 (#PhiDisSocCh6) are January 28-30, 2026. Mark your calendars!
More details about the upcoming conference will be posted on BIOPOLITICAL PHILOSOPHY soon. Please check back here frequently.
