Revisit or Catch What You Missed of Philosophy, Disability, and Social Change 6: The Videos!

As I indicated in previous posts here at BIOPOLITICAL PHILOSOPHY, the latest edition of the Philosophy, Disability, and Social Change conference series, namely, Philosophy, Disability, Social Change 6, was an outstanding event, exceeding the hopes and expectations of our organizing team and providing participants and attendees with memorable and highly rewarding experiences.

Attendance at Philosophy, Disability, and Social Change 6 was consistently two or three times greater than in previous years, a significant reflection of the growth of philosophy of disability and the recognition that the conference series offers disabled philosophers venues for the production and dissemination of their scholarship that are unavailable elsewhere across philosophy. Rest assured that this interest and enthusiasm enables the momentum to plan next year’s edition of the conference, planning that has already begun.

The videos of the conference presentations and other events have been beautifully edited and curated by Jamie Morris, the member of our organizing team who does the tech for the conferences. Each of the videos comprises all the presentations in a given session (panels, workshop, and roundtable), introductions to each day’s events, and the closing of the conference. If you were not fortunate enough to catch the conference live, you can find out what you missed by watching/listening to the videos. If you were fortunate to catch the events at the conference as they unfolded, you can revisit them with the videos!

The title of each video corresponds with the titles in the Philosophy, Disability, and Social Change 6 conference program (linked above and and at the embedded link immediately below).

All the videos for Philosophy, Disability, and Social Change 6 are at the link below:

At present, the videos use the Zoom automated captions. After I have corrected the transcript of the sessions, Jamie will use the corrected transcript to apply open captions to the videos. At that time, I will also make the corrected transcript available in a post on BIOPOLITICAL PHILOSOPHY.

Enjoy!
