Video and Audio Recording of Feminism, Ableism, and MAiD (Peter A. Allard School of Law, UBC, Mar. 13, 2023)

The video and audio recordings of the outstanding symposium, “Feminism, Ableism, and Medical Assistance in Dying,” which took place last week as part of the Feminist Legal Studies Lecture Series at Peter A. Allard School of Law, UBC, are now available.

Among other benefits, the presentations provided sharp feminist analyses of euthanasia and sexism, the intersection of ableism and sexism, Canadian legislation on MAiD, MAiD and exclusion of disabled women from feminist movements, and the history of eugenics in Canada.

The presenters in the symposium were: Janine Benedet, Catherine Frazee, Isabel Grant, and Elizabeth Sheehy.
